Construction and built-environment AI carries significant safety, operational, financial, and infrastructure risk. AI is deployed across Building Information Modelling (BIM), digital twins, autonomous and semi-autonomous heavy equipment, site-safety monitoring, computer-vision QA, structural health monitoring, project planning, smart-building commissioning, and supply-chain orchestration. Unlike information-centric sectors, failures can directly cause worker injury or fatality, structural collapse, significant property damage, environmental contamination, and building-code violations. Physical harm and property damage are the dominant vectors.
