PAI-SF / 2 / PAI-SF-ACT-002

Command Replay and Timing Attack Protection

Objective

Prevent replayed or timing-manipulated commands from reaching actuators.

Control / requirement

Sequence numbering or timestamping with freshness checks on the command path.

Applicability

Systems with a networked or otherwise interceptable command path to actuators.

Expected evidence

Replay-attack test logs. [T3]

Assurance expectation

Test evidence of rejection under simulated replay and timing-manipulation attempts.

Dependencies

None beyond the general command-path architecture.

Exclusions

Not applicable to fully hardwired, non-networked command paths with no replay surface.

Maturity / conformance relevance

Expected at Operational and High-Assurance levels for networked command paths.

Ecosystem relationship

Provides command-injection incident categories for UAIF™, distinct from ACT-001's magnitude-bounding categories.

Domain

Domain 2. Actuator and Kinetic Command Safety
