Objective

Preserve perishable physical evidence (sensor state, actuator position, environmental conditions at incident time) before it is lost or altered.

Automated snapshot/freeze of relevant telemetry and physical state upon incident declaration.

All physical AI systems where post-incident investigation may be required.

Preservation procedure documentation; sample preserved evidence packages. [T2]

Test evidence that the snapshot trigger fires reliably at incident declaration, not only in a controlled demonstration.

PAI-SF-TEL-001, PAI-SF-TEL-004 (Domain 7 telemetry integrity and custody) — this control captures the moment; those govern the evidence afterward.

Not applicable to non-safety-relevant telemetry with no investigative value.

Expected at Operational and High-Assurance levels.

Time-critical capture distinct from Domain 7's ongoing telemetry assurance function.
